He combines his experience in stomach, liver and pancreatic cancer surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery application experiences and performs Bariatric (Obesity)/Metabolic Surgery in a safe, attentive and science-first surgical practice in his private clinic.
Born in Adana in June 1966, he graduated from Adana Anatolian High School in 1984. He completed Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and Gazi University General Surgery speciality training in 1998. Laparoscopic surgeries, one of the first in Turkey, started in Gazi Hospital where he received training. Here he gained experience in laparoscopic gallbladder and ducts, hernia repairs and other laparoscopic surgeries. Afterwards, he worked as a specialist doctor in Mardin State Hospital between 1998-2003 and had the opportunity to learn the ability of a surgeon to do the best he can do alone under all kinds of impossibilities. This period matured him in surgery. After a short period (6 months) as a lecturer in General Surgery at Gazi Hospital, he became an Assistant Professor in 2004 and Associate Professor in 2008 at Zonguldak Karaelmas University. He spent 3 months at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in the USA on liver and pancreatic cancer surgery and at Weill Cornell University Hospital in New York on Obesity and Metabolic Surgery. After the name of the university was changed to Bülent Ecevit University, he received the title of Professor in 2014. He worked in Yeditepe University Hospital and Academic staff until 2018 and retired.
